Hagoromo Gitsune breaks the first seal and begins collecting human livers to facilitate the birth of Nue. Meanwhile, Rikuo undergoes training, and Kejoro attempts to boost the morale of the Nura clan. Kubinashi, disheartened by recent events, leaves to kill Kyoto yokai alone. Kejoro follows him, and at Ryuenji Temple, which holds the sixth seal, they encounter Ibaraki Doji. Elsewhere at the Kekain house, Akifusa engages in a duel with Shokera after the latter defeats Yura's grandfather and the assembled onmyoji.
