Lawrence and Holo reach Pazzio to sell their furs before meeting Zheren. While walking through a shop-lined street, Holo buys many apples that leave a scent on the furs. This allows them to sell the goods for more money to an assessor from the Milone Trading Company. Later, they meet Zheren to finalize a partnership for the next day. However, they soon discover that the purity of the Trenni silver coins has decreased, contradicting what Zheren had claimed earlier.
