Lawrence secures a deal with Marlheit, arranging for the Milone Trading Company to collect Trenni silver coins to gain economic privileges quickly. He then proceeds to rescue Holo from the Medio Trading Company. Upon her release, Holo reveals that Chloe has allied with the Church and plans to hand Holo over to sever ties with the past, when survival depended on divine favor. Chloe detects Holo’s escape and begins a search, slowly surrounding the pair.
