After departing, Lawrence reunites with Holo, who reveals she fled Pasloe to return to her northern homeland. He agrees to let her accompany him on his travels.

Holo senses deception but cannot identify its source. The following day, Lawrence agrees to meet Zheren in the port city of Pazzio to discuss the scheme further. During their journey, Lawrence mentions being attacked by wolves approximately eight times in the forest. Holo defends the wolves' behavior, causing Lawrence to become angry. Following a pause in their dialogue, Lawrence asks Holo if she has ever consumed a human, but she declines to provide an answer.

The pair escape to the Milone Trading Company, where Holo serves as a diversion to ensure Lawrence reaches safety. Upon arrival, Marlheit informs Lawrence that the Milone Trading Company possesses sufficient intelligence to dismantle Zheren’s plan, rendering Lawrence’s assistance unnecessary. Compounding his distress, a letter arrives from the Medio Trading Company revealing they are aware Holo is a wolf and intend to surrender her to the Church.
EP 5Lawrence negotiates with Marlheit to rescue Holo from the Medio Trading Company while Chloe allies with the Church.

Lawrence urges Nora and Liebert to proceed while he stays behind to allow Holo to handle the threat. However, upon waiting at the forest edge, Lawrence is ambushed, bound, and abandoned by three Lemerio Trading Company men. These traitors intend to steal the smuggling profits for themselves, leaving Lawrence vulnerable to the wolves.
EP 13Lawrence reunites with Holo, who reveals Liebert's betrayal and the truth about Lemerio's initial treachery.
Mar 26, 2008Lawrence frees himself and reunites with Holo, who scolds his kindness and refuses to explain how she appeased the wolves. Upon learning of Liebert's betrayal, Holo assumes her true form and pursues the traitors alongside Nora, who remains unaware of the murder plot. Holo defeats the attackers but spares Liebert, who discloses that Lemerio betrayed them from the start because the gold represented only one-sixth of the expected profit. Lawrence leverages this secret to blackmail Lemerio, demanding five hundred Lumione gold coins over ten years. Despite the extortion, Lawrence permits the men to retain the smuggled gold to prevent their company from going bankrupt. After reaffirming his devotion to Holo, Lawrence resumes his journey with her by his side.
