He wins stuffed animals for her and chooses pudding, though he embarrasses himself by praising her cooking. The next day, Mahiru feels jealous of Yuta’s public conversations with Amane. She initiates casual interactions at school, joining a cooking project with Amane, Itsuki, and Chitose. When other students nearly burn Mahiru, Amane saves her, holding her longer than necessary and drawing jealous stares. Mahiru worries about Amane’s comfort with public attention and is visibly upset about the delay until they can interact casually in public.
