Hina argues Doan secretly wants Licht to succeed. Licht awakens and reveals his long-held love for Hina, blaming his silence on guilt over her father's death. They reconcile as Licht confronts Doan, apologizing for breaking their promise from three hundred years ago regarding the Alcia. Sonohara, influenced by a dark personality, suddenly shoots Licht. Schmelman observes the conflict, questioning whether Licht can defeat two of his former friends. Lynn receives medical care from her village friends after passing out from blood loss.
