Licht discloses that Tsukina survived 300 years without surgery and stole a ballot from Schmelman five years ago. He admits to killing his adopted brother, Hina’s father, Tokikaze Sakai. After drugging Hina, Nana, Lynn, and Pele, Licht leaves to defeat the army, though Murdoch resists the wine. The SSU assassinate commanders and demand Grigorovich surrender three ballots, threatening Alcia’s stability since Tsukina holds the main vote. Unable to decide, Grigorovich asks the King for guidance. Murdoch condemns Licht’s actions, but Licht argues his sacrifice spares others. He expresses hope to see Hina again before the end. The group recovers and pursues him. Schmelman sends Doan, who uses gravity to pin Licht down, nullifying his speed as Licht thinks of Hina while facing imminent crushing.
