Ep. 39: Ash Challenges Bea at Cianwood City Gym in a Rematch Against Grapploct

Having returned to the Great Class and learned Bea is in the Johto Region, Ash travels to the Cianwood City Gym. The facility is led by Chuck, a former opponent of Ash. He faces Bea in a battle to avenge a prior loss. Ash sends out Pikachu and Riolu against Bea’s Grapploct and Hitmontop. Pikachu defeats Hitmontop but is severely beaten by Grapploct. This forces a rematch where Riolu battles Grapploct. Unlike before, Ash and Riolu employ a specific strategy for this encounter. Regardless of the final result, Ash gains a new rival through this intense confrontation at the gym.
