Ash’s Dynamax Band glows unexpectedly, prompting him and Goh to travel to the Galar region to consult Professor Magnolia regarding Dynamax research. Their journey is interrupted when a train is halted by a mysterious fog. While exploring the area, they spot a Bunnelby, leading Goh to pursue it alone. This causes the pair to become separated within a dense, mist-shrouded forest. As they attempt to locate one another, they encounter two enigmatic Pokémon. Concurrently, the Galar region is suffering from a bizarre anomaly where Pokémon are Dynamaxing in locations where such behavior is typically impossible, resulting in widespread rampages that threaten the area.
