Ep. 40: Ash and Goh investigate Zapdos at the Kanto Power Plant with Team Rocket

Electrical interference drains power in Vermillion City, prompting Professor Cerise to send Ash and Goh to investigate the suspected culprit, Zapdos. The boys track the Legendary Pokémon to the Kanto Power Plant, where a major Raid Battle erupts. Unexpectedly, Team Rocket joins the fray, also seeking to capture Zapdos. The groups temporarily cooperate, but tensions rise when Zapdos appears to flee. Team Rocket attacks Ash, who instructs Goh to pursue Zapdos while he and Pikachu handle the villains. Goh assists Raboot with Flygon, yet fails to catch Zapdos. The Pokémon subsequently uses its stored energy to recharge all local Electric-type Pokémon, including Pikachu, resolving the power crisis.
