Professor Cerise tells Ash and Goh that the Legendary Pokémon Suicune purifies polluted water while traveling the world, prompting a trip to Johto for investigation. Upon arrival, the duo encounters Pokémon hunters aiming to capture Suicune. During an attack on the Legendary Pokémon, Goh successfully throws a Poké Ball to catch it. Ash and Goh then chase down the hunters, resulting in their arrest. Although Goh initially attempts to release Suicune, the Pokémon chooses to remain with him as they continue their journey around the world.
