Liko, Roy, and Friede reach Hammerlocke, where a Squawkabilly leads them to the ancient castle home of Liko's grandmother, Diana. Diana identifies the pendant Pokémon as Terapagos, which she found dormant as a child and entrusted to Liko after Hamber, a high-ranking Explorer, approached her. She explains that Terapagos accompanied Lucius in search of the legendary paradise Laqua. When Diana departs to retrieve Lucius' memoirs, Amethio's team attacks after tracking their location. Terapagos steps forward to confront Amethio and his group, initiating a direct conflict at the castle.
