Liko, Roy, and Friede reach the Galar Mine to search for Rayquaza. Liko and Roy separate from Friede, following sounds Roy believes are Rayquaza. They assist tired miners before meeting Amethio’s team. A battle with Zirc and Onia stops when a Galarian Moltres appears, holding one of Lucius’s ancient Poké Balls. This Moltres causes the miners' fatigue. Cap fights Moltres to protect Liko and Roy. Despite Moltres’ stamina-draining aura, Liko and Roy escape the mine with Cap. Friede distracts Amethio to ensure their safe departure from the dangerous location.
