Traveling toward Nacrene City, the group encounters schoolchildren accompanied by Garbage Pokémon Trubbish who harass them. They seek refuge at a local Pokémon Daycare and kindergarten, where teacher Ms. Daniela explains that the students discovered Trubbish at a garbage dump and brought it to school despite her instructions. Ash challenges Ms. Daniela to a battle and emerges victorious, receiving a Pokémon Egg as a reward. Meanwhile, Team Rocket receives a counterfeit meteorite from Flint and is promised further details at a later time.
