Ep. 48: Underground Battle with Team Rocket and Dr. Zager

Team Rocket hacks the subway system, releasing fake trains to distract the Subway Masters. Ash inspects the trains while Cilan deduces that Team Rocket and Dr. Zager are meeting at the Anville Town rail yard. Pikachu and other Pokémon break free from their containment, revealing Meowth’s deception. The group escapes the train by destroying its coupling and rendezvous with the Subway Masters. Dr. Zager attempts to lift the train car via helicopter. Ash uses Chandelure’s psychic powers to board the car. They sabotage the helicopter clamps, forcing Team Rocket to use jetpacks. Ash calms an enraged Pikachu, who thanks Meowth before departing. The train is destroyed in the rail yard, and the Pokémon are returned safely. Ash looks forward to his upcoming gym battle in Nimbasa City.
