Ash and his companions visit a television station to support Sophocles during a quiz show appearance. During their visit, they observe the production of a series featuring a Magikarp that appears to be malfunctioning. Simultaneously, a separate television program faces a casting crisis when its regular actresses fail to arrive on schedule. Consequently, Lana, Mallow, and Lillie are selected to step in as their replacements for the production. The group encounters these distinct filming challenges while waiting for Sophocles to complete his segment.
