In contrast, Team Skull leader Guzma becomes furious at this development and resolves to destroy the new organization. He travels to the Pokémon School to confront Kukui directly. To prevent the situation from escalating into violence, Ash intervenes by challenging Guzma to a Pokémon battle. The confrontation features Ash’s Pikachu against Guzma’s Golisopod, serving as the primary method to settle the dispute and stop Guzma’s destructive plans.
