Pokémon School welcomes accomplished graduate Ilima as a surprise guest. Ash and Lillie listen to his stories and wish to verify the legends surrounding him. Meanwhile, Team Skull members show interest in Ilima, though Tupp feels jealous of his popularity with girls. Tupp challenges Ilima to a battle, supported by a large group of Team Skull members. Ilima and his Eevee successfully defeat the opponents. Ash expresses a strong desire to battle Ilima as well, but this encounter is postponed for a later occasion.
