Ash watches the Alolan Battle Royal tradition on television, where four Pokémon fight until one remains. Eager to participate, he travels to the Battle Royal Dome the following day. His Litten enters the ring to challenge the mysterious Royal Mask and his partner Incineroar. The Royal Mask accepts the challenge and invites Sophocles and Kiawe to complete the four participants. Although the Royal Mask defeats all opponents, Litten remains determined. An unexpected rematch occurs the next day, resulting in Litten evolving into Torracat due to its intense spirit.
