Ep. 77: Ash defeats Nanu's team with Lycanroc to win his third grand trial

After winning at the Abandoned Thrifty Megamart, Ash challenges Nanu to a grand trial with a unique restriction. Ash must use only one Pokémon to defeat three of Nanu's creatures. He selects Lycanroc, which proves its training by swiftly defeating Krookodile and Sableye. The battle intensifies when Nanu sends out Alolan Persian and taunts Ash, causing Lycanroc to become enraged. Ash recognizes that this anger is fueling Lycanroc's strength. Channeling this emotion, Lycanroc learns the move Counter and overcomes Persian. Ash successfully completes the challenge, securing his third grand trial victory and earning a Lycanium Z.
