Sara and Becky confirm their magical paradise is real and prepare breakfast for James and Molly. The Headmistress deducts Sara’s stipend for Ermengarde, Lottie, Susan, Penelope, and Jane to cover Dr. Wild’s fee. Peter asks his chimney-sweep friend Jim to infiltrate the Seminary to check on Sara. They fail to find her sleeping in the attic but are discovered by the Headmistress, Molly, James, Lavinia, Jessie, and Gertrude. Peter is relieved to learn Sara is healthy, even though she and Becky must clean up the ashes.
