After leaving the Seminary, Sara continues selling matches in a cyclical routine. Donald halts his carriage to purchase matches, offering a charitable gesture. Peter arrives to escort Sara back home, where Amelia pleads for her return despite the Headmistress's anger. Sara reunites with Lottie and Ermengarde and opens a mysterious parcel that arrived while she was away, which turns out to be a care package from Thomas. The Headmistress has Sara try on an outfit that fits her perfectly. That night, Sara writes a letter expressing her gratitude.
