Duck wakes up realizing she is a duck, but Drosselmeyer reveals she is also the legendary Princess Tutu. Her mission is to return the scattered pieces of Prince Myuuto's heart. Eager to see him smile, Duck accepts the challenge and receives the pendant that transforms her into a girl. Meanwhile, a jealous anteater-girl, bitter about Rue's dancing superiority, targets Myuuto. She challenges Rue to a dance-off, but Rue selects Duck as her partner, and they win. Duck discovers the anteater is influenced by a shard of Myuuto's heart. She transforms into Princess Tutu and persuades the shard to return to him. As Myuuto regains a feeling, Fakir becomes worried.
