Duck discovers that Drosselmeyer authored The Prince and the Raven and has been dead for a long time. While on a picnic, she meets Myuuto, who is fetching water for Rue. Duck uses the water to clean a cut on Myuuto, and they search for more, eventually finding a restaurant. There, Ebine serves them cold food, and Duck finds another piece of Myuuto’s heart: the feeling of loneliness. After retrieving it, Rue and Fakir discuss Princess Tutu. They reveal that if Princess Tutu confesses her love to the Prince, she will turn into a speck of light.
