Kunugi, Watari, and Makoto introduce Johji Futagami, who seeks to conduct an exclusive investigation into the TERRA Organization. He is dispatched to Nirai-Kanai for observational purposes. Concurrently, the Alpha Squadron, now reinforced with fresh pilots, engages a Dolem alongside Ayato. During this conflict, only the lower extremities of the enemy unit are visible. Futagami encounters Rikudo, attempting to extract details regarding Ayato. Elvy successfully destroys the Dolem's legs, yet the machine continues to hover. Ayato intervenes to support Elvy but becomes trapped within the cloud cover. Summoning all his strength, Ayato ultimately obliterates the Dolem into pieces.
