Ep. 2: Chinu's Deal and the Struggle to Recruit New Water Polo Members
Chinu reveals a pact with Minato where she kissed him after he won the Momotaro Cup, with a second condition that they date if he becomes Japan's best high-school player, or he pays 220,000 yen. Motivated, Minato returns to the sport. Jou attempts to recruit new club members by highlighting Minato's past achievements, but most students leave upon learning he has lost his swimming memories. Only Yutaka Inomata and Yoshiharu Ushimado join. Takekazu Ejiri also expresses interest but requests the keeper position, which Jou already holds. They settle the dispute via a penalty shootout with Minato shooting. Minato shows potential but pulls a muscle before it ends. Seeing Jou's skill, Takekazu considers quitting, but Jou persuades him to stay. Finally, Jou plans to recruit ace swimmer Shugo Amihama, only to discover Amihama has joined the track team instead.
