Following four months of rehabilitation, he learns his former teammates Keita Kakihana, Koki Toguchi, and Riku Momosaki won Inter-Highs at Shogakukan High School. An unrecognized old friend, Eitarō Oka, proposes they play together, prompting Minato to study intensely for eight months to enter Yamanami High School.
