Ep. 3: Itsuki performs a shrine ritual to help Shinogi revive her comatose brother Moroha.
Itsuki arrives late to a shrine appointment because he let Mikan buy festival souvenirs. Shinogi Minagi asks Astral to contact Futsunushinokami, the shrine god, to revive her brother Moroha. Despite objections from Adelicia and Honami, Itsuki accepts the job after seeing Mikan’s enthusiasm. During the ritual, Kagezaki, a mage from the Association, interrupts and informs Astral member Manami Kuroha about Takeminakatanokami, the shrine’s other god. Kagezaki explains that Shinogi and Moroha accidentally summoned Takeminakatanokami, forcing Moroha to use Futsunushinokami’s power to stop it, which left him comatose. With Shinogi incapacitated, Mikan seals Takeminakatanokami using emotional support from Itsuki and magical help from Honami. Moroha awakens, and on the train ride back, Kuroha teases Honami about coming to save Itsuki.
