Astral members Honami Takase Ambler, Mikan Katsuragi, and Ren Nekoyashiki arrive to reinforce Itsuki. Itsuki reveals his Glamsight eye and orders his team to defeat Kunugi’s grandfather. A mansion appears, prompting Honami to remember how Itsuki saved her from a magical creature in their youth, which altered his Glamsight. Despite objections from Adelicia and Honami, Itsuki accepts the job after seeing Mikan’s enthusiasm. During the ritual, Kagezaki, a mage from the Association, interrupts and informs Astral member Manami Kuroha about Takeminakatanokami, the shrine’s other god. Kagezaki explains that Shinogi and Moroha accidentally summoned Takeminakatanokami, forcing Moroha to use Futsunushinokami’s power to stop it, which left him comatose. With Shinogi incapacitated, Mikan seals Takeminakatanokami using emotional support from Itsuki and magical help from Honami. Moroha awakens, and on the train ride back, Kuroha teases Honami about coming to save Itsuki.

Nekoyashiki explains the contamination to Itsuki, dispelling bloody handprints. Honami arrives and agrees the pollution stems from a mage's spell. Kuroha is consumed by a flesh mass that attacks the group. They identify the core as a soul-eater, a mage seeking immortality through soul transfer. As Honami and Nekoyashiki prepare to destroy the entity and Kuroha, Itsuki releases his Glamsight to rescue the ghost. A few days later, with Astral members present, Itsuki invites an ecstatic Kuroha into the organization.

Adelicia discloses that the pollution stems from a Goetia mage who violated a taboo, swearing Itsuki to secrecy. This mage is Oswald Lenn Mathers, Adelicia’s father. Oswald attacks the pair, but Honami intervenes to save them. Oswald retreats, and Itsuki makes Honami promise to keep the secret before fainting.

Itsuki collapses from magical pollution, and Nekoyashiki purifies him just in time. Lapis later visits Itsuki, but her argument with Mikan is halted by Honami, who discloses Lapis is a homunculus familiar. Lapis activates the basilisk eye, destroying the room. While ascending the mountain, Kuroha proposes a competition to locate a suitable spring. Although Honami and Adelicia initially decline, they agree to compete after secretly deciding that Itsuki's exclusive affection will be the prize. During the search, the group falls into a hole and discovers a rock obstructing the ley line's magical flow. By combining their abilities, they levitate the obstruction, restoring the spring's power. Upon returning, a conflict between Honami and Adelicia breaks the fence separating the men's and women's baths, causing embarrassment for everyone involved.

Itsuki and Honami board a blimp to speak with Tholoide, who communicates through Lapis. Tholoide acknowledges Itsuki's claim but proposes a Fehde, a magical battle to decide ownership of Astral and the item. After Tholoide reveals Adelicia's failed raid to provoke Itsuki, Itsuki activates his Glamsight, forcing Lapis to flee. That evening, Lapis attacks the Astral mansion, where Nekoyashiki barely repels the initial assault. Honami flies to confront Tholoide, but he reveals he is an automaton and incapacitates her.

Dec 10, 2007Lapis employs a basilisk eye to block Itsuki’s Glamsight but flees when Adelicia appears. Honami wakes in Tholoide’s lab, where Tholoide discloses that the Association held Tsukasa Iba’s original grimoire. Anticipating Itsuki’s attack, Honami attempts to escape using a hazardous spell, risking collateral damage that Adelicia prevents. Itsuki assaults the headquarters and faces Tholoide, who easily defeats the Astral members using the basilisk eye extracted from Lapis. Tholoide then transforms Lapis into the basilisk itself. Utilizing his Glamsight, Itsuki overcomes the creature and liberates Lapis. He advises Tholoide to strive for excellence as president. Daphne reveals that Itsuki asked Adelicia the same question, leading Adelicia to join the search. Honami and Adelicia track Itsuki to a church, where they discover he is buying a gift for the spirit of a deceased girl. Kuroha arrives, and the group sings to the ghosts of children who perished in a fire, causing the church to vanish. The group is engulfed by magical pollution, and Itsuki awakens to find Nekoyashiki with Mikan's missing sister, Kaori Katsuragi.
