Ep. 1: Tomoka faces parental disapproval over basketball while preparing for a summer festival with Subaru.

As summer vacation concludes, Tomoka is upset that her father opposes her dedication to basketball and forbids her attendance at a weekend summer festival. Subaru considers visiting her home to discuss the matter but instead receives a call from Nayu, who asks him to accompany Tomoka. After winning a basketball challenge where Subaru promised to do anything for her, Tomoka requests that he watch fireworks with her. During the outing, Subaru briefly meets Tomoka’s father while helping him locate his glasses. Upon returning Tomoka home, Subaru and her friends successfully argue that basketball has helped her build valuable friendships, persuading her father to accept her hobby. The following day, a mysterious French girl appears before Tomoka and challenges her to a game.
