Subaru and Aoi recruit Banri, Airi's brother, using Uehara's contacts, but Banri punches Subaru upon learning of his reputation as Airi's coach. The team then loses a basketball match to middle school girls coached by Subaru's former rival, Ryūichi Suga, who defeated Subaru in middle school. This loss angers Subaru, prompting the group to commit to a rematch. Subaru successfully convinces Banri to join their efforts. Meanwhile, Tomoka arrives at Subaru's house for a sleepover to practice, surprising him. The team prepares for the upcoming game against Suga's squad, with Banri now on board and everyone determined to perform their best.
