During their summer break, Lan and Maylu travel globally to find a beetle, eventually locating ancient desert ruins. Inside, they uncover a magic lamp that releases MistMan, a NetNavi genie. However, Ms. Yuri, SwordMan, and FridgeMan also arrive, seeking to harness MistMan's power for themselves. A conflict ensues as these parties compete for control over the genie. Ultimately, MistMan is freed from his confinement. He then assists MegaMan in deleting both SwordMan and FridgeMan, resolving the dispute and securing the area from further interference by the antagonists.
