Ep. 9: Dex returns to DenTech City after WWW training to challenge Lan while fighting BurnerMan

Dex arrives in DenTech City, having trained with the WWW to defeat Lan in a NetBattle. He is determined to prove his strength to Lan and intervenes in a conflict involving BurnerMan, a Darkloid attacking throughout the city. Lan is primarily concerned with the widespread threat posed by BurnerMan. During the encounter, Dex discovers that Lan is a NetSaver. Dex assists Lan in the battle against BurnerMan. To overcome the enemy, MegaMan creates GutsSoul to defeat BurnerMan. The episode focuses on the confrontation between these characters and the resolution of the immediate threat within the city.
