Ep. 22: Shūrei negotiates with Shin Suou to reduce his father's death penalty for forgery and counterfeiting charges.

Shūrei and her companions discover that Banri was deceived by two men into creating the paintings. Shin Suou explains that his father participated in the forgeries but was not involved in the counterfeiting operation. Before any action can be taken, Imperial Palace soldiers arrive to arrest Shin Suou and his father on charges carrying the death penalty. Shūrei follows official procedures and, with some persuasion from Seiran, convinces Shin Suou to assist in lowering the sentence for his father. Later, Shūrei meets with Ryūki and watches the first Sakura blossoms bloom from the tree. During this encounter, Shūrei vents her anger at Ryūki regarding her suspension.
