A girl on horseback appears as Ensei arrives. Shūrei vents anger while cooking, and Shūei recalls memories of a girl. Shūei observes Shusui performing the Sōyōren dance while she suffers from a sound. Ryūki introduces Shusui to Riō. Shūrei, Seiga, and Tan-tan share a room where Tan-tan expresses fear during a conversation. Anju visits while Shūrei and Tan-tan eat. Kōki assigns Shūrei and Seiga a mission to protect Jyūsan-hime. Shūrei meets the girl, who stops a thief. Seiran and Shūei discuss loyalty. The girl enters, and Shūei identifies her as Jyūsan-hime.
