Shūrei acts as bait in a disguise, prompting Tan-tan and Seiran to comment on her appearance. Jyūsan-hime discovers poison and initiates internal measures. Shūrei encounters Seiga in her disguise, while Jyūsan-hime entrusts Shusui with a letter for Shūei. Jyūsan-hime and Ryūki converse, followed by a discussion between Shusui and Jyūsan-hime. Shūrei remains alone as bait until a mysterious man speaks with her. Seiga talks to her and styles her hair. Shūei arrives to pick her up, and Shūrei meets Ryūki. Finally, Seiga is seen talking with an official from the Department of Military Affairs.
