Ep. 8: Shūrei Justifies Actions to Court and Confronts Mountain Cult Alone

Shūrei is summoned by the Imperial Court to explain her drastic actions. Ryūki orders the Imperial Army to handle the mountain cult, but Shūrei openly refuses. She convinces him to let her deal with the cult alone to prevent significant loss of life, despite the personal risk. After resolving the situation, Shūrei breaks down from stress but recovers in time to bid farewell to Ryūki. She promises him that she will return safely, concluding the confrontation with the cult and her subsequent emotional recovery before parting ways with the ruler.
