Ushio struggles to face Chizuka after their incident, despite wanting to apologize. Tomoe and Miyako attempt to train Sumika to act clumsily to attract Ushio, but the plan fails. Ushio visits Sumika’s house instead of meeting Chizuka. Sumika realizes Ushio is lying about having no feelings for Chizuka. Ushio offers to wash Sumika’s back, causing Sumika to faint from embarrassment. Ushio blames herself for her conflicting feelings toward Chizuka, but Sumika reassures her. The next morning, Ushio goes to Chizuka to apologize and confess her true feelings, which upsets Sumika.
