Nozomu announces a cultural festival but refuses to participate, arguing that pretending to be cultured turns people into bad individuals. The narrative then shifts to a class field trip preview in Kyoto, where Chiri creates a detailed itinerary. The group travels rapidly to a temple, where a monk discusses the concept of previews. The episode concludes with Nozomu taking Chiri to visit his own preview funeral and gravesite. Chiri reacts with anger, hitting Nozomu and sending him to the hospital in a coma. Kafuka describes this state as a preview of the afterlife.
