Kafuka suffers from a summer cold and consults Mikoto Itoshiki, who is Nozomu's brother. Mikoto informs Chiri and Kafuka that Nozomu has returned to his hometown of Kuraizawa for an arranged marriage. The girls eventually travel to Kuraizawa and are hosted at the Itoshiki residence by the butler Tokita. They learn that the family's marriage tradition requires only mutual eye contact between the parties. Consequently, Nozomu spends the episode attempting to avoid looking at the girls, as well as other people and objects, to prevent fulfilling the condition.
