Discovering that traditional sword repair skills are rare due to mass production, Cecily asks Luke to forge her a new blade. He refuses, stating he only makes katanas for himself. Later, soldiers are ambushed by monsters controlled by a cloaked man seeking treasure. Luke defeats the creatures and rescues Cecily again, prompting the antagonist to transform an ally into a demon that destroys Luke's weapon. While Cecily distracts the demon, Luke and his assistant Lisa use magic to instantly forge a new magical katana.

During the battle, Cecily freezes when forced to kill, allowing Reginald to strike the enemy and accuse her of cowardice. Aria comforts Cecily for valuing life. Separately, Jack Strader, who made a demon pact years ago, receives a redemption offer from the cloaked man.
