Cecily learns Aria is a Demon Sword capable of human form, transforming at Luke's request to demonstrate wind blades. Hannibal intends to use Aria as bait for her captors. Meanwhile, demon parasite-infected prisoners escape a city prison and attack the town under orders from a cloaked man. Cecily retrieves a unique sword with one sharp and one blunt edge for practice, despite Reginald mocking her fear of killing. During the battle, Cecily freezes when forced to kill, allowing Reginald to strike the enemy and accuse her of cowardice. Aria comforts Cecily for valuing life. Separately, Jack Strader, who made a demon pact years ago, receives a redemption offer from the cloaked man.
