Ep. 1: Cecily Campbell seeks Luke Ainsworth to forge a magical katana after her sword breaks.

Cecily Campbell of the Housman Knight Guards intervenes when Jack Strader attacks civilians, but her sword breaks during the confrontation. Luke Ainsworth, a blacksmith wielding a katana, saves her but insults her abilities before departing. Discovering that traditional sword repair skills are rare due to mass production, Cecily asks Luke to forge her a new blade. He refuses, stating he only makes katanas for himself. Later, soldiers are ambushed by monsters controlled by a cloaked man seeking treasure. Luke defeats the creatures and rescues Cecily again, prompting the antagonist to transform an ally into a demon that destroys Luke's weapon. While Cecily distracts the demon, Luke and his assistant Lisa use magic to instantly forge a new magical katana.
