Ep. 1: Balsa Returns to Yogo Empire to Save Prince Chagum from Assassins

Balsa, a spear wielder from Kanbal, returns to the Shin Yogo Empire after two years to repair her weapon. After saving Chagum, the second prince of Yogo, from a river, she is summoned by the Second Empress. The Empress reveals her true plan: the Emperor believes Chagum is possessed by an evil water spirit and orders his execution. Balsa is hired as his bodyguard to protect him from imperial assassins. Reluctantly accepting the mission, she helps Chagum escape by having attendants set fire to his bedchamber as a distraction. This allows them to flee the palace and evade the Emperor's forces while Balsa fulfills her duty to safeguard the young prince.
