Ep. 7: Ryo seeks Wude masters, faces rejection, and learns about Jie from Zongquan and Zhoushan.

Ryo spars with Lishao, who overpowers him and refuses to help. After Hanhui suggests visiting the Guang Martial Arts School, Ryo consults Grandmaster Zhoushan Xuan. Zhoushan declines to teach Wude, citing past regrets. Ryo then meets Joy, who directs him to a mall performer named Zongquan. Zongquan uses Ryo for cash but refuses to teach him, echoing Zhoushan’s excuses. Zhoushan reveals Zongquan was his former student, banished for misusing his skills. When Yellow Head members attack Zongquan, the performer avoids combat and asks Ryo to flee. Later, Zongquan reveals he was testing Ryo’s understanding of the Wude principle Jie. He gives Ryo a letter for Zhoushan, who realizes his student still upholds the teachings. Ryo returns to Lishao, who admits his ignorance of Jie was not the sole reason for her refusal. She allows him to stay in her room, sharing her true name.
