He trades a promise to never return for information about the Chinese Mafia, learning to seek Charlie. Ryo confronts Charlie, who flees and falsely accuses Ryo of being sent by the Chen gang. The next day, men from the bar guide Ryo to a construction site where Charlie ambushes him. Ryo defeats them all, proving his innocence. Charlie admits his target is a dangerous foe. Shigeo, an old friend of Ryo's father, overhears this and later meets Ryo at a park. Shigeo shares martial arts knowledge and directs Ryo to a pottery shop owner who can read the letter.

Ine recalls Iwao visiting an antique dealer before death. Ryo visits the dealer, discovering his father left the family crest. Later, Fuku mentions covered slots in the dojo. Ryo realizes they hold the crest and sword, unlocking a secret room with the phoenix mirror. Ryo shows the mirror to Chen and Guizhang, learning it resurrects Chi You. Chai ambushes them, stealing the mirror but failing to escape due to Chen’s quick thinking. Chen suspects Chai belongs to the Chi You Men or Mad Angels. Ryo asks to locate Lan Di through the Mad Angels. Chen suggests Hong Kong as Lan Di’s next destination, prompting Ryo to announce his intention to follow him there.

The next day, Mad Angels beat Mark for knowing Ryo. Ryo stays and defeats the attackers. Mark reveals he works there to find his son in the gang. Nozomi tails two gang members after hearing about Ryo's dispute and is captured as a bargaining chip. Ryo finds her and is forced to fight Guizhang of the Chen to free her. He writes the warehouse number for Gozo before the fight. Ryo and Guizhang battle until both appear knocked out.

That night, Joy saves Ryo from attackers and reveals Wong’s orphan background, helping Ryo secure hotel lodging. The next day, Ryo confronts Wong, retrieves his bag, and defeats the thugs. He returns to the old man, successfully completing the leaf challenge, which demonstrates his Wude. Ryo visits the temple again, reciting the first principle of Wude to a monk while seeking Yuanda Zhu to investigate his father’s death. The praying woman is revealed to be Lishao Tao, who warns of the perilous path ahead. Meanwhile, Wong reports to an unknown figure who takes an interest in Ryo.

Shuqin explains Yuanda is targeted by the Chi You Men and directs Ryo to Ren of the Heavens gang. Ren tricks Ryo into a shady deal, steals money, and they fall from a construction site. Ren offers help after learning Ryo’s motivation. Ryo realizes his lack of the final Wude principle, Dan, and confronts Lishao about her brother. Apr 10, 2022After leaving the temple, Ryo and Ren travel to Kowloon to meet Yang, who directs them to a contact using a specific password. They are ambushed by the Yellow Heads and their leader, Dou Niu, leading to Ren and Ryo being handcuffed together in a cell. While imprisoned, Ren explains the group's history before they overpower a guard to escape. Lan Di learns of their capture, but the duo evades Yuan and Dou during an elevator chase. Wong unlocks their cuffs the next day, prompting Ryo and Ren to question Yang again, who directs them to Huang. Listening to Huang’s tapes reveals that the Yellow Heads hold Shuqin Zhang captive. Following clues, they locate Yuan, subdue him, and trick Dou into a closet to rescue Shuqin. He reveals Yuanda is hiding in the Ghost Hall Building and provides keys representing the four saint beasts. Upon arriving, they are pursued by Yuan and Dou. Ren escapes through a window while Ryo is knocked out, landing on a roof below where Dou confronts him before Lishao intervenes.

Apr 17, 2022After Yuanda is captured by Yuan, Lishao tends to Ryo’s wounds and challenges him to a spar to test his growth. Meanwhile, Joy hides her worry for Ryo from Wong, who scolds her for her attitude. The next morning, Joy visits her mother’s grave, revealing she was killed by the Yellow Heads. Wong overhears information about Ryo while targeting a building and escapes with Joy’s help. Ren and Ryo locate a supposed hostage room but find it empty and face Dou. Wong informs Joy of the danger, while Yuan tells Dou that Lan Di will retrieve Yuanda soon, fueling Dou’s ambition for Hong Kong.

Wong searches for the pair via air vents and finds Yuanda Zhu, distracting Yuan with rats. Ryo and Ren locate Joy in the basement and defeat Lu using Wude. Wong and Yuanda face Dou in an elevator. Ryo’s group defeats another Yuan and interrogates him. The team heads to the rooftop, where Ryo spots Lan Di arriving by helicopter.

May 1, 2022Ryo engages Lan Di on a rooftop while Joy and Ren arrive. Dou Niu threatens Wong, prompting Yuanda Zhu to negotiate for information about Bailu Village in exchange for the boy's safety. Lan Di accepts and departs via helicopter, leaving Dou to fight Ryo and Ren. Ryo recalls his father's teachings, defeats Dou using the Swallow Dive and Counter Elbow Assault, and Ren handles Lan Di's men. At Ren's hideout, Yuanda reveals Lan Di's true name, Longsun Zhao, and his motive for revenge against Iwao. Ryo shows the Phoenix mirror, confirming their destination is Bailu Village in Guilin. Ryo says goodbye to Joy, Wong, Fangmei, Hanhui, and Lishao, who gives him a yang magatama. He travels by boat to Guilin, rescues a girl named Shenhua and a lamb from a river, and wakes in her home. Shenhua explains the Shenmue tree and mirror history. They find a cave, place a mirror, and uncover a secret as the episode concludes.
