Authorities arrest Liu Min, who claims a friend committed the killings, confusing investigators due to his inconsistent paralysis and lack of mental illness diagnosis. Cheng retrieves CCTV footage of Emma to prevent her death. Liu Min, fearing he killed Emma after a near-discovery in his car trunk, rushed to a hospital. Emma regains consciousness, causing Liu to crash. She survives but attempts suicide by jumping off a bridge. Cheng intervenes, revealing his ability to encourage her. Emma’s eyes change, and she jumps. In the present, Qiao’s eyes change similarly, and she stabs Lu Guang. Cheng and Lu Guang realize another person can possess bodies. Cheng returns to the present to find a bloody Lu Guang, while possessed Qiao taunts Cheng about their reset game.
