Xu Shanshan asks the Time Photo Studio gang to uncover the words spoken by her close friend Dong Yi before she blacked out from intoxication. While Cheng listens to the recording, he spots a man approaching Xu’s friend and suspects he is the serial killer shown in the police chief’s photograph. Cheng chases the man into an alleyway, only to discover he is someone Xu recently rejected, not the killer. Later, Lu Guang texts Xu Dong’s message. The group receives an unusual reply and calls Xu, but a strange man answers with a cryptic message, leaving them concerned.
