Shizuru contemplates her past at Dannar Base as a new Mimetic Beast, Type 16, emerges. This creature burrows underground and regenerates wounds, having completely destroyed Oasis Base and hospitalized survivors. With Core Gunner undergoing repairs, GoDannar and Neo Okusaer are deployed to eliminate the threat. Anna entrusts Sakura to Shinobu before the mission. During the engagement, Goh is impaled by the beast's retractable spikes and hospitalized. Consequently, Neo Okusaer and Core Gunner face the enemy alone. Anna's implanted bomb fails to detonate, and the beast disables Core Gunner's sniper arm. Shizuru strikes a vulnerable spot, allowing Anna and Goh to merge and defeat the creature using Heart Breaker.
