Ep. 12: Squid Girl loses abilities after beach volleyball finals and meets Kozue Tanabe

Squid Girl and Eiko compete in a beach volleyball tournament for a 3D television, reaching the finals against Gorou and Tatsuo Isozaki. After Eiko injures her ankle, Chizuru substitutes and secures victory. Subsequently, Squid Girl loses her tentacles and squid powers, prompting friends to search for her. She returns with severed tentacles, accepting a human life, but Takeru clarifies this does not bring her happiness. While lamenting on the beach, she encounters Kozue Tanabe, who offers comfort. Later, Squid Girl and Eiko are trapped in a whirlpool created by Harris, Clark, and Martin. Squid Girl’s urgent desire to save Eiko restores her tentacles, enabling her to rescue Eiko from drowning.
